What is logistics?

Logistics means efficient management of raw material, other material and product flow based on the knowledge of market needs and an adequately organized information flow between cooperating enterprises. Logisticians organize the flow of raw materials and other materials from the source of their origin to the end recipient. They manage and control this process and improve it constantly in order for the recipient to receive it the very moment he or she needs it, swiftly and at a minimum price.  Logistics is a complex, but also interesting activity, because as the raw materials move from the place of origin to the recipient, they gradually change into products, which are often very complex and diverse.

Logistics is also movement of people. Miscellaneous solutions help us get to school or work, have a rest, or travel by choosing convenient means of transport and ways to cover distances.

Logistics is present in all fields of life. If we do not pay attention to it every day, it is only because - due to its diversity - we treat it as a neutral element, and mainly take advantage of the effects it brings. In reality, such a reception is possible through an enormous efficiency and multiplicity of the more and more advanced solutions.

The word “logistics” has in recent years become one of the most popular and most frequently used words.
